(And I am older than I remember myself being.) First of all the water was COLD and secondly the rope was skinny and hard to hang on to. But my granddaughter was cheering me on from the paddle boat so I had to jump. I could not let a three year old think grandma was scared – especially since her dad had already jumped.

So I grabbed the rope and jumped! It was COLD. I was not graceful, And it was  FUN! It was so fun that I had to do it again. I had some great laughs and built some great memories with my kids.

Jumping into the deep end of life can be scary. It’s cold and uncomfortable. It can be embarrassing when our form is off. And people may laugh at us. On the flip side – it could be the best thing you ever did. It could be refreshing and exhilarating. And it could provide you with great memories for years to come.

As I look back on my life – my favorite memories are  from times I took a risk to JUMP in the deep end – they didn’t come from times where I played it safe.

Do you need to jump into the deep end of life today? If so, will you do it?

The time is now. There is no need to wait. Just grab the rope and GO FOR IT!
